From March 7 to 9, 2025, the 7th Giengen Guitar Festival took place at the Bürgerhaus Schranne in Giengen an der Brenz.
At the invitation of festival organizer Julie Malia, we opened the concerts on Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, in front of a sold-out audience. As the opening act, we performed before the two outstanding artists Biber Herrmann (blues guitar) and Paco Seco (Spanish guitar).
Our program included Nebulae by Olga Amelkina-Vera and Syrah by Thomas Fellow. We are especially proud of our personal highlight: the world premiere of a new work by our composer Luisa Khandro. With Emphisis, she has written a stunning piece specifically for our quartet – the first original composition from her own hand within our ensemble.
