Now streaming: Second single “Evergreen” online!

“Evergreen,” composed and written by American singer-songwriter Yebba, captivated me from the very first listen. My arrangement combines the main melody, played on a steel-string guitar, with the harmonies, drums, and bass played on classical guitars. This is how our instrumental cover version of this song comes to life.

Here are the direct links to “Evergreen” on the three most popular streaming platforms:

Like all the other covers, we painted the single’s artwork ourselves. This one was created by Luisa Khandro.

We’ve also shot a music video for our new single, and I found a very special place for it!

The location where we shot the video is a place that will soon cease to exist and that only existed in this form for a few months. It consists of two houses in Dresden titled “House of Colors,” a project by the “House of Urban Culture.” The houses were made available for interim use by the cooperative WG Aufbau Dresden eG before being demolished in the near future. During this transitional period, they were filled with color and life one last time by the creativity of about 50 artists and have been attracting thousands of visitors ever since.

So we find ourselves in a former bedroom or living room that is completely unrecognizable, and surrounded by the art of so many people—an incredible feeling to perform there and capture our own art on video!

The room that appealed to us most for “Evergreen” comes from the French artist Seboh Creation. His artwork is titled “Who is watching who?”, meaning he wanted to create a space where the visitor is not looking at the painting, but rather the other way around. Ironically, it is blue… but creative freedom is a must, and green would have been a clearly too predictable choice for Evergreen 😉

You can find more background information on the creation of the arrangement in a blog post by Luisa Khandro in our “Favorite Works” category here.
